Most of the icons I saw were too bright or too dark and your brightness is just right. :D Do you mind sharing some tips? ^_~

Levels! Levels are a lot like Brightness/Contrast, but it's much better but brightening up/darkening images without getting the sharpness/muddiness of Brightness/Contrast. I love it.
